Selecting the "Current Day" or "Current Day in week - abbr. name" as a rename option uses the current day in either a numeric format (DD) or current day in week format ("Mon", "Tue", etc.) in the renamed file name.  This can be combined with Auto-Rename: Year and/or Auto-Rename: Month to create a custom date format in the renamed file name.
